The PMR Supreme Council Deputy Andrey Safonov, “We will overcome the current threats”

Deputies of the Supreme Council and delegates from local district and city councils of people's deputies spoke at the VII Congress of People's Deputies of all levels of the PMR.

Deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR, member of the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations Andrei Safonov reminded those present in the hall in his speech that congresses of deputies of all levels meet during periods “when danger looms over the Homeland” in our republic.

According to the deputy, the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in order to defend its rights needs to make public the measures taken by Moldova in relation to Pridnestrovie, restore the “5+2” negotiating format, stop violations of the rights of citizens of the PMR and make every effort to maintain peacekeeping mechanism on the banks of the Dniester.

Chairman of the Tiraspol City Council of People's Deputies Vadim Doni emphasized that the people of Pridnestrovie from the moment of the formation of the republic to the present day have lived and developed in difficult conditions.

A delegate from the Council of People's Deputies of the Slobodzeya region and the city of Slobodzeya Ekaterina Puzhanskaya in her speech paid special attention to Pridnestrovian identity.

Delegates from all cities and regions of Pridnestrovie spoke from the stage of the large hall of the Palace of the Republic. Each of the deputies confirmed the commitment of the Pridnestrovian people to a peaceful solution to existing problems and called on the neighboring Republic of Moldova to sit down at the negotiating table.
