Deputy of the Supreme Council Igor Buga became a laureate of the state competition

This year, Pridnestrovians will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 30th anniversary of the republic. Behind the anniversary dates is the history of the state and the heroism of fathers and grandfathers. Preserving the historical memory of significant events of the last century is the task of the younger generation. Huge work on patriotic education of youth is carried out by the republican movement “The Heirs of the Victories”. It all started with a military-patriotic club, created five years ago at the Pridnestrovian Association of War Veterans in Afghanistan. The Heirs of Victories organize military-patriotic rallies, exhibitions of military subjects, reconstruction of the battles of the Great Patriotic War. They participate in excavations at the powder cellar of the Tiraspol fortress, where the remains of victims of political repression of the 1930s of the last century were discovered.

Igor Buga - chairman of the youth-patriotic movement - Deputy of the Supreme Council, the Head of the parliamentary committee on public associations, sports, information and youth policy, chairman of the Pridnestrovian Association of War Veterans in Afghanistan. The award in the special nomination "For the contribution to the restoration of historical memory" was handed to the winner by Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Kasap.
