Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Konstantin Zatulin called on to help Pridnestrovie in vaccination

Special Representative of the State Duma of the Russian Federation for Migration and Citizenship, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Konstantin Zatulin at the first meeting of the spring session of the State Duma of the Russian Federation made a proposal to appeal to the Government of the Russian Federation on the issue of assistance in vaccinating residents of Pridnestrovie against the new coronavirus, with which the world has been fighting for a year.

Konstantin Zatulin emphzsized that in the Russian Federation mass vaccination began on January 18. Therefore, the Health Protection Committee and the CIS Affairs Committee should ask the Government of the Russian Federation, in what time frame and in what volume the vaccine can be supplied to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin supported the initiative and gave instructions to the relevant committees. The speaker emphasized that Konstantin Zatulin correctly raised the issue of vaccinations and noted that the Russian Federation should help compatriots.

The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky in the course of the Operational Headquarters meeting at the end of December announced an agreement on the supply of a batch of Russian vaccine against coronavirus to Pridnestrovie. The issue was resolved during the working visit of the PMR President to Moscow. The topic of vaccination was discussed in the course of the meeting with the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak. The first 30 thousand doses are used to vaccinate doctors, teachers and representatives of the security forces of the republic. Citizens will be vaccinated exclusively on a voluntary basis. Lists of potential vaccine recipients are being formed. The vaccine is expected in Pridnestrovie.
