Money for the solid waste landfill construction

Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic adopted in the course of the plenary session in two readings at once the legislative initiative of President Vadim Krasnoselsky on the allocation of funds for the construction of the first stage of the third stage of the solid domestic waste landfill near the village of Malaeshty, Grigoriopol district.

The situation is critical, the solid domestic waste landfill, where the capital has been dumping garbage for many years, has stopped accepting garbage trucks. Cultivation will take place there within a month. The landfill is full. Now the capital's communal services are taking waste to a solid waste landfill near the village of Parkany. Bendery take out the garbage there. However, taking into account the increased load, according to experts, the solid waste landfill will be completely filled by December this year in Parkany. The issue of building a new landfill for municipal solid waste is very acute. The deputies found the funds at the suggestion of the President for the construction of the first stage of the first stage of the solid domestic waste landfill.

According to the law "On Environmental Protection", the construction and reconstruction of landfills for solid domestic waste is carried out from the funds of the Ecological Fund of the municipal budgets of cities and regions. However, neither Tiraspol nor Bendery can handle such a large-scale project on their own. Therefore, both cities and possibly Slobodzeya district will be attracted for co-financing during the construction of a new landfill for municipal solid waste. Only the capital will allocate funds for the construction of a solid domestic waste landfill this year.

The construction of a new landfill for municipal solid waste should begin this summer. The first stage is planned to be completed before the onset of cold weather and the rainy season. The new landfill will be located near the old one, near the village of Malaeshty, Grigoriopol district. It was decided to use one of the spent sand quarries for this – it will be faster and cheaper. It is planned that Tiraspol, Bendery, the nearest villages of Slobodzeya and Grigoriopol districts will bring garbage there with the opening of the first stage of the third stage of the landfill for solid household waste.
