Day of the introduction of peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation into Pridnestrovie

Dear Pridnestrovians!

I congratulate you on the 32nd anniversary of the introduction of peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation into Pridnestrovie on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on my own behalf.

Pridnestrovians highly appreciate the contribution of the Russian Federation to the establishment of peace and tranquility on both banks of the Dniester. The decision to introduce peacekeeping forces into Pridnestrovie was made on July 29, 1992. Russian peacekeepers with decisive actions were able to stop the armed conflict on the Dniester and this was a decisive step towards stopping the hostilities in our republic. The opposing sides were separated, thus the people of Pridnestrovie had hope for peace and security.

Shots and explosions have not been heard, civilians have not died, tears have not been shed, and people can calmly create, enjoy the peaceful sky and live in peace and harmony for 32 years now.

I am confident that the high skill, coordinated, organized work, professionalism and courage of Russian peacekeepers will continue to serve the cause of peace and the successful fulfillment of tasks to maintain stability on the Pridnestrovian land.

Pridnestrovians express their deep gratitude to all peacekeepers for their service, loyalty to duty and dedication.
