January 25 is traditionally celebrated in Russia as Student Day and the Day of Remembrance of the Holy Martyr Tatiana, the patroness of students. This day has become an official student holiday in the Russian Federation Since 2005, and it has been celebrated in Pridnestrovie since 2008. The main celebrations were held in the main university of the republic. Festive events began today with the Divine Liturgy in the name of the Holy Great Martyr Tatyana in the church at the Pridnestrovian State University. The Chairman of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Igor Buga took part in the celebration.
