Day of Russia in Pridnestrovie was celebrated by mass bike ride

the event was organized by "Pokatushki" cycling club. Among one hundred and fifty participants were deputies of the Supreme Council and the Council of the City of Tiraspol.

As the column included children and a lot of newcomers, it was decided to go with a speed not exceeding 15 km / h. Necessary security measures have been adopted - rally participants were accompanied by police car.

According to the head of the cycling club "Pokatushki", the deputy of the City Council Igor Krizhanovsky, this year the club holds the fourth time bike ride in the Day of Russia.

Car drivers welcomed the impressive column of cyclists with Russian flags on the way Tiraspol – Bendery by beeps, passers shot event on mobile phones. On the way to the castle, at the entrance to Bendery, the participants of the bike ride made a stop at the Russian peacekeeping post to congratulate carrying duty servicemen with the Day of Russia. In Bendery fortress, which is a historical monument and the personification of the glory of the Russian army, they conducted a tour for cyclists. In a press interview, they talked about the importance of unity of Pridnestrovie with Russia, which is the guarantor of peace and tranquility on the banks of the Dniester.

On the way back to the bike ride the participants laid flowers to the monument of Russian glory, established in 1912 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War 1812 and one of Bendery symbols.
