Pridnestrovie celebrated Victory Day

More than 4 thousand inhabitants of Dubossary passed in the ranks of the Immortal Regiment with portraits of their relatives - participants of the Great Patriotic War. There were children in the forefront - heirs of the winners, with photographs of their great-grandfathers. Representatives ahead of the column of the deputy corps and public organizations of the region carried St. George's ribbon - a symbol of the fidelity of Russian history and the victories of the Russian people in battles for the defense of the Fatherland. A minute of silence was passed at the Memorial of Military Glory and the laying of flowers at the graves of soldiers-liberators. Traditionally, in the organization of the procession of the Immortal Regiment, its design and preparation of portraits of front-line soldiers was helped by the local branch of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal).

Celebrations in Rybnitsa for the 73rd anniversary of the Great Victory began at the commemorative sign of Konstantin Tsvetkov, commander of the division, who liberated the city in the spring of 1944. The Banner of Victory was raised and the solemn procession of the Immortal Regiment in the main square of the northern capital. A memorial ceremony was held at the Memorial of Military Glory "Let's Worship Great Years". The column was headed by cars with veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Only 20 soldiers remained to this day in the city and the district. Leaders of the city, representatives of labor collectives, young soldiers, schoolchildren, students took part in the event. Deputies of the Supreme Council of the PMR Yakov Galak, Valentin Matveychuk, Vasily Kunitsky, Andrei Safonov, Vadim Kravchuk, deputies of the local Council, activists came to pay tribute to the memory of the fallen heroes. Participants of the event were given a copy of The Pravda newspaper May 9, 1945, held an event "Blue Handkerchief", during which they sang together the legendary song of the Great Patriotic War. The holiday continued with "Zemlyanka", folk festivals and fireworks in the central square of the city.

Grigoriopol celebrates Victory Day. A solemn meeting was held here. The countrymen were congratulated by the chairman of the party organization, the chairman of the Council of People's Deputies of the Grigoriopol district and the city of Grigoriopol Andrey Kovtun and the deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR Oleg Leontiev.

Residents of Grigoriopol took part in the procession of the Immortal Regiment. After laying flowers to the graves of the fallen heroes, a treat was organized for soldiers' porridge.

A lot of people went in Bendery under the banner of the Immortal Regiment. A huge column with portraits of relatives filled the center of the city. The children, grandchildren and great-grandsons of the heroes, who participated in battles and forged the Victory in the rear, walked shoulder-to-shoulder. The deputy of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, the head of the territorial party organization of “The Obnovlenie” Mikhail Vladutus, deputies of the city council took part in the event. All the way the procession of the Immortal Regiment was replenished by the families of residents of Bendery with portraits of veterans who contributed to the defeat of fascism.

They solemnly celebrated Victory Day in Slobodzeya. Despite the rainy weather, hundreds of residents of Slobodzeya and guests of the city came to bow to the feat of the fallen heroes and lay flowers to the Eternal Flame, many of them took part in "The Immortal Regiment".

A festive concert was held in the regional House of Culture. The evening sky lit up the festive salute. The city leadership and deputies on the Victory Day visited home and congratulated veterans of the Great Patriotic War Ivan Gonchar, Zinaida Petrovna Savenko, Maria Ivanovna Shinkaryuk, Lydia Aleksandrovna Shashev, Fedor Ivanovich Suschevsky, Gavriil Evstafievich Nastasenko, Elena Konstantinovna Svishchyova, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, living in the town of Slobodzeya.

Dnestrovsk also joined "The Immortal Regiment". People of different ages took part in it.
