Dear Pridnestrovians!
June 19, 1992 is one of the most tragic dates in the history of the formation of Pridnestrovie. 31 years have passed since then, but all the terrible days, the dead defenders and civilians of the city of Bendery are alive in the memory of eyewitnesses. Guardsmen, Cossacks, militias, ordinary Bendery people who fought for their home, their relatives and friends stood up to defend their native city and our republic.
The nationalists treacherously attacked the international, freedom-loving Pridnestrovie, hiding behind the slogan of establishing constitutional order in Moldova. To what degree of cynicism can one go to call the killings of civilians, artillery shelling of the city by direct fire, bombing, preventing doctors from fulfilling their noble mission of saving people to call restoring order!
Heroic defenders, not sparing their lives, fought for our peaceful, bright future, for our statehood, so that we could speak our native language, living in peace with people of all nationalities living in the republic.
The fallen heroes cannot be returned, but the memory of this feat will live forever in our hearts and will be tremblingly passed on from generation to generation. We know at what cost we got our independence. The defenders of Pridnestrovie brought the most precious thing they had - their lives to the altar of freedom. Therefore each of us must feel responsible for the fate of the republic, for its strengthening and development.
Eternal memory to the fallen, eternal glory to the living.

of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
