Residents of Dubossary celebrated the Day of the city. The celebration, despite the cold weather, gathered thousands of people. The celebrations began at the Memorial of Military Glory, where the townspeople placed flowers on the graves of soldiers who died for the liberation of the city during World War II during the armed conflict in 1992. Fresh flowers lay to the grave of the defenders.
The celebration continued at the main square, where Chairman of the Government Pavel Prokudin , city directors and deputy of the Supreme Council, chairman of the parliamentary faction of "The Obnovlenie" Peter Pasat welcomed residents of Dubossary.
The centuries-old history of the city of Dubossary encompassed periods, development, and decline, and wars, and peaceful labor weekdays, but most importantly, brought together people of different nationalities into one single family, where everyone loves their city, cherish it, and hope very much that it will become populous and flourishing again.
