Day of Kindness and Respect in Borisovsky Square

There was violin, accordion, national dances, Slavic songs. They celebrated the International Day of Older Persons in Borisovsky Square of Bendery today. The "Prieteniya" song and dance ensemble and the groups of the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity in the city of Bendery and the House of Culture in the village of Protyagailovka performed for the residents of the district.

The event was organized by the Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Oleg Petrik. Singing and dancing on this day in constituency number 3 "Borisovsky" is a long-standing good tradition.

“It is better to call the holiday the day of wise people, the day of kindness and respect. Unfortunately, the pandemic has made adjustments, and we could not organize a celebration in our district for the previous two years. This day is an occasion to show attention, to pay tribute to our older generation, to whom we are in unrequited debt. We are proud and thank our mentors for their experience. We admire their vital energy and want them to take a break from their everyday life, watch the concert program”, said Oleg Petrik, deputy of the Supreme Council.

Guests of the holiday were treated to buckwheat porridge with stew and tea. It is a county tradition for the 1st of October and the 9th of May. The whole families came to Borisovsky Square today, the concert was watched from the windows of high-rise buildings.

Residents of the district thanked the deputies for organizing the holiday. The performance of the musical bands was accompanied by loud applause.
