Shortage of personnel and material and technical situation of educational institutions

1 young teacher for 10 teachers of retirement age – this ratio is in the sphere of education now. In addition, there is an outflow of middle-aged personnel. The situation with a shortage of specialists was discussed in the course of the plenary session in the Supreme Council when considering a report on the situation of children in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic last year. According to the Minister of Education Svetlana Ivanishina, today there are 133 vacancies for the post of educator in preschool institutions across the republic. The shortage of teachers is 211. There are 83 vacancies in the system of secondary education. According to the minister, it is possible to solve the problem with the shortage of teachers by providing material incentives for teachers, providing housing support from the state, and retaining young personnel in the sphere.

Necessity of increasing the prestige of the teaching profession was noted in the course of the plenary session. The Minister of Education focused on some aspects in terms of supporting young professionals.

The joint work of the Supreme Council and the Government on solving the personnel problem and the material and technical equipment of educational institutions continues.

The deputies were interested in the implementation of the "Textbook" state program. It was about providing educational and methodological literature to organizations of special correctional education in particular. A representative of the Ministry of Education answered how such educational organizations were provided with educational and methodological literature in 2021 when asked by Deputy Vadim Kravchuk. The costs are included in the financing of the state program.

The deputies were also interested in the development of the sports sector and the participation of athletes in competitions. The state is working on the creation of new sports and playgrounds and multidisciplinary sports complexes. The stadium near the capital's school No. 18 was reconstructed, the construction of the stadium locker room in the village of Chobruchi, Slobodzeya district, and a mini-football field in the Grigoriopol district were completed. Equipment for the gym of the Yubileiny sports complex was purchased.

Following the discussion, the deputies adopted a draft resolution of the Supreme Council on the situation of children in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in 2021.
