Tomorrow Tiraspol will celebrate its 226th birthday. Celebrations in the capital began today. Tiraspol citizens, guests of the capital, veterans, social activists, youth, city and republic authorities gathered at the Memorial of Glory. All together they remembered those thanks to whom Tiraspol is flourishing and developing today. The baskets with flowers to the memorial were laid by the Chairman of the Government Alexander Martynov and the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva. Fresh flowers in memory of the defenders of the city and the republic went to the granite slabs of the memorial.
Leaders of the republic and townspeople went to the monument to the great commander Alexander Suvorov. The Generalissimo is the liberator of our region from the Turkish yoke and the founder of the Pridnestrovian capital. At the foot of the monument grateful descendants laid fresh flowers. Carnations also laid down to the monuments of Catherine II (by decree of the Empress in 1972 Tiraspol or the Median Fortress was laid) and engineer-major of the Russian army Franz de Volan (it was under his leadership that the fortress and the city were built).
The capital of Pridnestrovie was transformed by the 226th birthday. Neat beds are planted with autumn flowers. Bright photo-zones, which quickly attracted the attention of citizens appeared in the center of Tiraspol. According to the vice-speaker of the parliament Galina Antyufeeva, the main pride of Tiraspol is its inhabitants. They make it more beautiful every day.
