16.06.2016

Initiated by the Committee hearings regarding state regional policy on the problems of street lighting were held on the parliamentary site. Members of parliament, deputies of local councils, heads of administrations, representatives of relevant ministries, State Unitary Enterprise "United Power Distribution Networks" participated in the event. The idea to organize a public debate appeared in connection with numerous appeals of citizens dissatisfied with the quality of street lighting and roads of the republic. The most problematic areas are in villages.

Representative of the Ministry of Regional Development said about the situation with the lighting and illustrated report figures. According to the last inventory (this data in 2014 - early 2015), 19 thousand lamps were installed in 95 settlements of the republic. The length of the power grids is 800 km, the deterioration - more than 70%. Every year 9 million kilowatt-hours of electricity spent. Amounts owed to the State Unitary Enterprise "ERES" - more than 35 million rubles. The level of integrity in the payment issue in cities and regions varies. The capital, with 6846 lamps and 215 kilometers of networks, the last year and a half with ERES not calculated. Bendery at almost the same provision pay the bill by 8% last year. In the five months of this year, a similar situation with Kamenka and Rybnitsa districts, although last year's calculations were carried out - 93% and 83% paid, respectively. The most disciplined in terms of payment consumer on the basis of 2015 Grigoriopol, which settled with ERES in full. In 2016 the Slobodzeya district is leader who has paid 37% of consumed energy. At the same time Slobodzeya and the surrounding villages, the smallest number of fixtures is 414.

By analyzing the real situation, opportunities and needs of the country, experts have concluded that available lamps do not provide the performance of road lighting standards.

As part of the modernization program 2000 old fixtures are replaced with LED, reduce the consumption of more than four times. 1350 more - were installed in preparation for the celebration of the anniversary of the republic. This was done at the expense of ERES. With regard to the budget, according to the law on street lighting is allocated to 10% of the road fund. Judging the current year, only 540 thousand were spent instead of 33 million.

One of the most serious problems today - is power transmission towers. Many of them are still wooden and require immediate replacement with reinforced concrete.
