The Year of Ecology and Improvement started

The tasks set for the current year before the state authorities and administration were announced in the House of official receptions during the extended meeting of the President. The agenda includes in addition to this issue - three others.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Tsurkan spoke about legislative innovations, as well as about the events held in 2018 and measures taken to create more comfortable living conditions for citizens with health characteristics.

Changes were made to the current legislation in 2018. Wages of correctional institutions workers were increased by almost a third. Legislative base was prepared for increasing from January 1, 2019, from 35 to 100 MW the size of monthly compensation payments to parents caring for disabled children. New educational standards have been introduced, educational programs have been adopted for children with disabilities. Assistance is provided in the employment and vocational training of persons with disabilities. Ramps and call buttons are installed everywhere, pedestrian crossings are equipped. As Aleksey Tsurkan said, the reconstruction of the building of the future sports rehabilitation and rehabilitation center in Tiraspol and the construction of a day care center for disabled children in Dubossary began. A building has been allocated in Bendery for a sports club for disabled. As for the plans for the current year, the state target program “Equal Opportunities” has been developed for 4 years. The stipulated amount of financing is about 5 million rubles. It is intended to purchase educational literature in Braille and the same printer. by The program provides and a bus purchase.

Vasily Sotnikov, Head of the State Environmental Control and Environmental Protection Service of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic presented the action plan for the Year of Ecology and Improvement. The official list includes 92 points. Thus, the plans include the construction of new solid waste landfills in Kamenka and Chobruchi, the elimination of unauthorized dumps, and the renewal of special equipment. Specialized sites with containers for separate collection of solid waste will be equipped in the republic. An important task is the development and implementation of a collection system for used batteries.

A separate block of planned activities is related to the protection of forest and water resources, endangered species of flora and fauna, environmental education, gardening and landscaping of parks and squares.

According to the President, it is necessary to tighten the responsibility for the incineration of municipal solid waste, to pay special attention to the issue of organizing the reception of used batteries and incandescent lamps.

The Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Head of the Department of Construction, Architecture and Road Management Ivan Untu spoke about the state target program for the reconstruction and installation of street lighting networks and plans for its further implementation. The President paid special attention to street lighting during the extended meeting.

8.6 million rubles were spent for the work in 2018. In just five years, it is expected that the program covers the amount of 68 million.
