The situation on the Central Election Commission

It was discussed by members of the first consultative meeting of Pridnestrovian deputies under the Chairman of the Supreme Council.

The conversation was attended by Vice-Speakers of Pridnestrovian parliament Alexander Shcherba and Galina Antyufeeva, Deputy Victor Guzun. The head of the CEC Elena Gorodetskaya reminded that in 2011 the work on the compilation of voter lists is vested in the Central Executive Committee. She told members of the consultative meeting on a phased activity led her authority in this important sphere, as well as the serious difficulties faced by the CEC during the implementation of this function. For example, to get from the state administrations of cities and districts of the country data revealed discrepancies in the voter lists, the CEC had to go to court.

The situation around the Central Election Commission, namely around the formation of voter lists, the heated state media and executive authorities, founders of the republic called nothing less than "an attack on the CEC, its chairman," "unbridled campaign".

According to Elena Gorodetskaya who attended the CEC PMR November 3 Russian experts - human rights activist and co-chair of the Association for the protection of electoral rights "The Civil Control", a member of the Presidential Council on Civil Society and Human Rights, Alexander Brod, and deputy chairman of the Guild of Russian Lawyers Vladimir Samarin - gave high appraisal of the work of the CEC.

The proposal was supported by a consultative assembly members who unanimously voted for the appeal, voiced by Anna Volkova. It was proposed to send the adopted document to the Russian leadership.
