Speaking from the stage of the Palace of the Republic, the congress delegates expressed concern about the blocking of negotiation mechanisms, increasing political and economic pressure on the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which violate the rights and interests of Pridnestrovians.
Deputies of city and district councils complained that because of customs duties of Moldova, prices for food, medicine, household chemicals, clothing, etc. have increased and will continue to increase. Imports of food, medicine and a number of other goods have seriously decreased. Tax revenues to the Pridnestrovian budget have sharply decreased, the cost of seeds, herbicides and fertilizers has increased, and all this leads to an increase in the cost of products, it was noted at the congress.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy and Health Sergei Cheban spoke about the consequences of Moldova blocking the import of medical equipment to Pridnestrovie in an interview with the media.
Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, deputy of the Supreme Council Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations Grigory Dyachenko addressed those present from the stage of the Palace of the Republic. The parliamentarian made a speech in Ukrainian, one of the official languages in Pridnestrovie. Grigory Dyachenko spoke about the support that our republic provides to citizens arriving from Ukraine.
The delegates of the Congress decided to send appeals to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the United Nations, all participants in the international negotiation format “5+2”, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Interparliamentary Assembly – members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Parliament of the European Union and the International Committee Red Cross. This is indicated in the Declaration of the VII Congress of Deputies of all levels of Pridnestrovie.
Deputy chairman of the parliamentary Committee on Education and Media, deputy of the Supreme Council Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations Andrei Safonov expressed his opinion about what support measures in Pridnestrovie are expected from the Russian Federation.
Chairman of the Tiraspol City Council of People's Deputies Vadim Doni emphasized in a comment to reporters that Russia is the guarantor of the security of Pridnestrovian statehood, and it could help resume the work of the “5+2” negotiation format.
