The state of emergency in the economy was extended until the 9th of August

Deputies approved the Decree of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on the extension of the state of emergency economic regime in the republic at the 2nd Extraordinary Session of the Supreme Council of the PMR of the IX session of the VII convocation. The reason is an emergency economic situation caused by a reduction in natural gas supplies to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which led to the emergence of a severe general economic crisis.

The Speaker of the Parliament said today that the financing of many state target programs has been suspended in order to save budget funds. The Road and Environmental Funds, the Capital Investment Fund have been drastically reduced. Financing of the Constituency Instructions Fund has been suspended.

Alexander Korshunov added that the state has begun preparing institutions and enterprises of natural monopolies today for the heating season in the conditions of a severe economic crisis caused by a reduction in natural gas supplies.
