On the eve of the plenary session, the main issues on the agenda were discussed by members of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) parliamentary faction parliamentary faction. The main topic of discussion was the government's report on the results of work for 2017. The head of the government Alexander Martynov and his deputies were invited to discuss the issue.

The prime minister emphasized that the conversation during the plenary session would be "honest, without pathos and big words." One of the main directions of the government's work last year was the stabilization of the situation in the economy. In addition, it was possible in 2017 to maintain stable payment of salaries, pensions, allowances.

An increase in the number of new jobs is expected after the new law on investments has gathered momentum. The government is talking about concluding a number of investment contracts.

Members of “The Obnovlenie” deputies discussed some legislations that were on the agenda of the plenary session. Among them there is a law-in-draft developed by Mikhail Burla. The legislator proposed to conduct an additional set of entrants to unclaimed budget places. Today, according to the current legislation, such an additional set is prohibited.
