The Black Sea Cossack Army celebrated the 30th anniversary of its formation

Truly festive and solemn atmosphere is in the capital's Palace of the Republic today, all this because the chieftains and representatives of all city and regional divisions of the Black Sea Cossack army celebrate the 30th anniversary of the revival. First President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement Agencies, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping Activities, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens Oleg Petrik, representatives of ministries came to congratulate the Cossacks on the holiday.

The most active representatives of the Black Sea Cossack army were awarded state awards for preserving the unity of the Cossack ranks, protecting the faith, spirituality and security of the republic. Orders, medals, certificates and letters of thanks from the head of state were presented to them by the First President Igor Smirnov. In addition, Cossack awards were given to those who were the most active participants in the movement all these years.

Oleg Petrik noted: we must remember the heroes and honor the memory of those who gave their lives for peace on the Pridnestrovian land. The parliamentarian conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR to the Black Sea Cossack army.

Ataman of the Black Sea Cossack Army Igor Nebeigolova noted: 30 years is a serious date, as, indeed, are the Cossacks themselves. The address “brothers and sisters” is not just a beautiful turn of speech for them, it reflects the essence of the Cossacks.

After the solemn part, the Cossacks and guests of the event were shown a documentary film about the role of the Cossacks in the history and modern life of Russia and Pridnestrovie, about how the Black Sea Cossack army was revived and what the Cossacks are doing for the development and recognition of the republic. An exhibition of works of the art competition of children's drawing called "Cossack Army, Black Sea Army" was organized in the foyer of the Palace of the Republic.
