The 27th ceremony of awarding the winners of the “Person of the Year 2023” competition was held in the large hall of the Palace of the Republic in Tiraspol. This year's laureates were 11 representatives of various professions who have already written their names on the pages of the history of Pridnestrovie. Each of them received a medal, diploma, and badge and certificate for receiving additional preferences from the state for the first time this year.
Parliamentarians Galina Antyufeyeva, Sergey Cheban and Igor Buga took part in the award ceremony. Deputy Speaker of Parliament Galina Antyufeyeva presented an award in the category “For Service to the Fatherland” to an employee of the criminal investigation department of the Slobodzeya District Department of Internal Affairs.
Rimma Filippova, a teacher of Russian language and literature at the capital’s secondary school No. 14 was the winner of this year’s competition in the “Science and Education” category. As a child she did not dream of being a teacher, but now, after 6 years of teaching, she is very glad that ultimately chose this profession. And she doesn’t regret anything.
Rimma Sergeevna together with one of her eighth-graders became this year the best among representatives of more than 30 countries in the international competition “The Great Stalingrad: Our History, Our Memory”. They celebrated Victory Day in Volgograd, on Mamayev Kurgan this year. The teacher says, she wants to work even harder after such an award.
People from various professions are among the current laureates of the “Person of the Year 2023” competition. Rowing coach-teacher, art school teacher, electric welder, militia officers, doctors, managers and media workers. The best of the best were determined by commissions under state administrations of cities and regions of the republic, interdepartmental and departmental expert commissions.
