A piece of soul in the common cause

28.04.2018

The tradition to work together for the benefit of society, to put in order the streets, yards, parks, in general, to improve the territory of cities and villages in which we live, was born in the Soviet era. It has taken root also in the post-Soviet space. A large-scale voluntary Saturday work is held on the eve of the May holidays.

A large-scale voluntary Saturday work took place on the territory of the historical military memorial complex "Bendery Fortress", where the development of a large tourist recreational zone - the Alexander Nevsky Municipal Park - continues. The employees of the Presidential Administration of the PMR, deputies and employees of the Supreme Council apparatus, representatives of the Bendery State Administration, servicemen, cadets, public men and citizens - several hundred people took part in the event. The President welcomed the participants. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the importance of the personal contribution of Pridnestrovians in the common cause.

Deputies of the Supreme Council and staff of the legislative body traditionally participated in the improvement of the park near the Alexander Nevsky church. The temple was built in 1833. Twice it was visited by tsarist persons. In 1962, the Alexander Nevsky Church was turned into a soldier's club. And the second birth took place ten years ago. Today, both the temple building and the square around it are an example of how people work together to make the world purer and lighter. Parliamentarians and employees of the Supreme Council apparatus for the third year in a row, help the rector of the church to carry out general cleaning on the territory, plant new trees, paint fences and benches.

The beautiful spring weather is always only advantage. Working in the open air is a good excuse to leave offices and work together. Joint activity, as you know, unites and raises the mood.

In the opinion of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, such events are an example of public-state partnership.

It is planned that Alexander Nevsky Park in the territory of the Bendery Fortress opens this fall.
