Budget 2023: discussion of parameters continues

05.12.2022

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is working on the preparation of the law on the republican budget for 2023. Amendments are being prepared for the second reading. The draft of the main financial document of the country for 2023 was adopted by the deputies in the first reading on the 23rd of November. Corrections to the Government edition were made at the stage of pre-parliamentary consideration. The need to change the initially proposed norms was due to the updating of tax legislation among other things. The project was repeatedly discussed at meetings under the President, according to the website of the PMR President. Vadim Krasnoselsky gathered today representatives of the legislative and executive branches of power on this occasion again. They clarified budget indicators, planned revenues and expenses, taking into consideration the changed situation in the energy sector. Work on the law-in-draft that is being prepared for adoption in the second reading, continues. Priorities have been preserved: the number one task remains the fulfillment of social obligations to citizens in an amount not lower than in 2022 – the timely payment of salaries, pensions, benefits. There are developments to increase the level of remuneration for representatives of a number of budgetary categories.

The Supreme Council discussed the law-in-draft on the budget for 2023 and amendments for the second reading today. The meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance was attended by the head of the PMR Government Alexander Rosenberg, heads of ministries, the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians, Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie and other organizations and departments in addition to the deputy corps.
