Fighting Сorruption

Deputies discussed a package of anti-corruption laws. Their authors are members of parliament Vadim Krasnoselsky and Galina Antyufeeva - found it necessary to establish in law the basic principles of anti-corruption legal and organizational basis for its prevention and mitigation of corruption offenses. The authors proposed a draft basic document and initiated control not only revenue but also costs of officials. Another legislative novelty - is the duty of the Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Justice to carry out anti-corruption examination of draft laws and existing regulations (today this work is carried out on the basis of secondary legislation). In addition, it was proposed to restrict the ability to replace former officials of some posts in commercial structures, if the past and future functions intersect. Only provide a special commission can grang this right. Violation of this rule will entail administrative liability to a fine.

The head of state spoke in favor of creating a single anti-corruption system, giving a positive opinion on the parliamentary package of legislations. Initiatives of Vadim Krasnoselsky and Galina Antyufeeva were adopted in the first reading.
