Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic considered and adopted on the 16th of October in the course of the plenary session in two readings the law-in-draft on amendments to the law "On the republican budget for 2024", which was sent by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the mode of legislative necessity.
Changes to the republican budget are necessary to increase the amount of funds for the program for the treatment and examination of Pridnestrovian citizens abroad as the official representative for the law-in-draft Kristina Albul explained to the deputy corps.
The program for the examination and treatment of PMR citizens abroad has been in effect for many years. The amount of funding has increased in recent years, and the list of diseases for which Pridnestrovians are sent for treatment to other countries has been expanded. These are the diseases that cannot be cured in our republic. Assistance is provided in particular to children, patients with oncological diagnoses, citizens with acute coronary syndrome, those who need hip replacement, etc. Over 30 million rubles in 2022 were allocated for treatment outside the PMR, 1090 citizens received medical care. The republican budget for 2024 allocated almost 38 million rubles for this item, but the limits have already been exhausted. The adopted law-in-draft will come into force the day after it is signed by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
