More than 85,000 Pridnestrovians voted for maintaining the format of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester

The collection of signatures was held in Pridnestrovie from October 16 to November 30, 2017. Anyone who has reached the age of sixteen could take part in this action. Member of the commission, chairman of the public council of Bendery Iosif Geris told reporters about how the event was held in Bendery.

Iosif Geris added that the events of 1992 and those who brought peace to the city and republic are well remembered in Bendery.

In the presence of media representatives, the act of summing up the results of the collection of signatures in our republic was assured by members of special created commission. It icludes the deputy of the Supreme Council Petr Pasat. According to him, active participation in this all-republican event was accepted by residents of Dubossary.

The total result of the action is 85 thousand 282 signatures in support of the current peacekeeping format and the presence of the Operational Group in Pridnestrovie.

Anna Volkova added that not only this action, but also the results of the historic referendum of 2006 and the results of the earlier referendum of 1995, speak about the attitude to Russia.

The signed act will be sent to President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, head of the government Alexander Martynov, as well as the president, the chairman of the government, the heads of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
