Vladimir Tabensky voluntarily joined a partisan detachment at the age of 16. He was supposed to collect and transmit information about the movements of the enemy. He was drafted into the Red Army at the age of 18. He served in the army for many years, worked as a leading design engineer at the plant named after Kirov after the war.
The combat path of the veteran is described on the "Memory of the People" website. Vladimir Tabensky was awarded the medals "For Courage", "For Military Merit", "For Victory over Germany" and the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree for heroic and labor deeds.
