17.06.2022

Solemn awarding of the best doctors, nurses and orderlies took place near the monument to doctors on the eve of the Day of the Medical Worker in the capital. They were congratulated on the upcoming holiday by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, as well as the Chairman of the relevant committee, himself a former physician Sergei Cheban and Ilona Tyuryaeva. It was on her initiative and with the support of the President that the monument was unveiled two years ago.

All the speakers spoke about the importance of the medical profession. The memorial sign to military doctors, which was opened in 2020 at the initiative of parliamentarian Ilona Tyuryaeva, almost immediately became a symbol of gratitude from patients to all doctors and nurses.

Ilona Tyuryaeva grew up in a family of doctors. Her grandparents were doctors and went through the Great Patriotic War, rescuing the wounded at the front. They came to help local doctors in the 50s during the malaria epidemic in Moldova and stayed in Tiraspol forever. Grandfather of Ilona Tyuryaeva headed the metropolitan lechgorodok for a long time.

Today, well-deserved awards, orders of "Labor Glory" were received by doctors from all over the republic, some were awarded the title of Honored Doctors of Pridnestrovie. Separate words of gratitude were awarded for example to those who have devoted many years to serving people, such as a doctor of the highest qualification category Dina Mikhailovna Golynskaya. She has been treating people for over 60 years.

Fresh flowers lay near the memorial stone "To medical workers - participants in the Great Patriotic War, local wars and liquidators of emergency situations" near the medical faculty of Pridnestrovian State University.
