New issue of the official publication of the Supreme Council, “The Councils of the People” newspaper was published. With wishes for better future, it opens congratulations on the New Year and Christmas to Pridnestrovians from the head of the legislature of the republic Alexander Shcherba.

Rather lengthy epic with the adoption of the republican budget for 2019 is devoted to the text "Towards development budget". It is still socially oriented, as well as balanced by socially protected articles.

Our journalists by a photo fact identified the main event of the last month of this year - during the final press conference, the head of state presented the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy for the period from 2019 to 2026. The peculiarity of the dialogue with journalists was the participation in it of representatives from all authorities, including members of the Presidium of the Supreme Council.

The multifaceted nature of everyday law-making activity may be evidenced by a selection of 9 materials under the general heading “The Versatility of Legislation”. The publication contains information on the content of the laws adopted by the deputies during November-December.

In the December issue of the newspaper, we did not ignore the activities of the two public bodies operating under the Chairman of the Supreme Council - this is an advisory meeting of the first Pridnestrovian deputies and the Youth Parliament. The founders of the republic discussed in December the problems of the functioning of state-owned media (details in the article “The media is a mirror of reality”) and young parliamentarians summed up the work in 2018 (read the article “Youth is a generator of ideas”).

You will be surprised, dear readers, but Oleg Petrik, Deputy of the Supreme Council, who he created with his father Anatoly Petrik the anthem of Bendery. For information on how it was, read the article "Work for the Ages".

In the December issue of “The Councils of the People” newspaper the parliamentary press service did not deviate from the tradition established earlier and placed on its pages a series of small articles under the talking heading “Work in the districts”. They contain the reports of the deputies to the voters, congratulations of the people's representatives of honored citizens living in their constituencies.

Finally the New Year's gift of “The Councils of the People” newspaper to readers is a calendar for 2019 with an indication of working days, weekends and holidays. We will have time for work and rest next year.
