There are almost no people left who remember the events of the late 30s of the last century in the village of Karmanovo, Grigoriopol district. The village itself, Neudorf in German, is already called only by old-timers now. But the German language was familiar and native to the locals once. Anatoly Alekseevich Isachkin is one of the few who remembers the former village. He was born in the early 30s. The names of those who were taken away at night he calls with tears in his eyes: Kusman, Scheufeli, Uncle Styopa Pereplychinsky, his half-brother Eduard Reiter. The villagers knew well who wrote the denunciations. His name was Jacob Gesser, he was an employee of the NKVD, he was shot by the verdict of a German field court.

There is probably a neighbor of Anatoly Alekseevich among those whose remains were reburied today in a mass grave in the village cemetery. According to the documents, his last name was Grabovsky, but everyone in Karmanovo knew that he was Shokh, a former sailor who participated in the uprising on the battleship Potemkin in 1905. He was arrested, but he never made it to the prison in Tiraspol.

The remains of German settlers who lived in the village of Karmanovo (Neidorf) at the end of the 30s were arrested and shot, this summer volunteers from the republican movement "Heirs of Victories" found. Only 190 people in one grave. Thanks to the discovered and deciphered documents, it was possible to find out all the names of the executed. Parliamentarian Igor Buga, who works with the volunteers, thanked them for doing such necessary, but very hard physically and mentally work all this time.

It is planned that a memorial complex will be constructed at the place of their burial.
