The law-in-draft was developed by a group of deputies of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex Issues on the basis of citizens' appeals. According to the current norms of the law, participants in military operations to protect the PMR and liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant can import cars for personal use. At the same time, they are exempt from paying excise duty. Such a car cannot be sold within three years from the date of import. At the same time, if the car is inherited during these three years, the heir, in order to re-register the transport for himself will have to pay excise duty.
When the vehicle is reissued to himself, the heir will be exempted from paying excise duty. At the same time, the norm of the law that prohibits the heir from making any transactions with this vehicle for three years from the moment the car was imported into the territory of our republic will be preserved.
The deputy corps supported the initiative of colleagues and adopted the law-in-draft in two readings at once. The document has been sent for signature to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
