Beware of Recovery Truck!

The Supreme Council supported the offer of Galina Antyufeeva regarding removal of ban on the use of coercive measures in case of violation of the rules of parking or stopping of vehicles. We are talking about the use of locking devices, evacuation vehicles; hold them in parking lots, removing the license plates. It is expected that this innovation will attract perpetrators to administrative responsibility. A similar initiative was presented by the president, but it was found to be more narrowly focused than the deputy’s one. The law-in-draft of Galina Antyufeeva prescribes in detail the mechanism for the implementation of new rules. The Deputy suggested enshrining in the Administrative Code the list under their action of administrative offenses, which create obstacles to the movement of vehicles and pedestrians, thus provoking accidents on the roads.

In the course of the discussion by Deputies, the concerns about corruption component issue were voiced by the deputies. As a counter-initiative the supporters reminded that in order to avoid abuse by the competent authorities and officials of the detention of the vehicle and other vehicles, according to the law-in-draft, can be used only in case of absence at the time of detection of administrative offense capabilities of the driver or owner to provide his own movement.

The law-in- draft, presented by Galina Antyufeeva "On introducing amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Offences of PMR" passed the first reading.
