Defenders of Peace on the banks of the Dniester

The solemn event was attended by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva, deputies of the Supreme Council, members of the Government, city leaders of Bendery, representatives of public organizations, residents and guests of the city.

27 years the Peacekeeping operation in the PMR is unique in its effectiveness, the main achievement of which is that it stopped the armed confrontation of the Moldovan nationalists against the people of Pridnestrovie. Today, peacekeepers are the main guarantor of peace and stability on the banks of the Dniester. The special scheme of the operation makes it possible to ensure peacekeeping processes in Pridnestrovie in such a way that the parties have the opportunity to look for mutually acceptable ways to resolve the conflict, excluding coercive methods. The peacekeeping operation under the auspices of Russia and its mechanisms are an essential element in the relations between Moldova and Pridnestrovie, since it was in this format that the peaceful political dialogue on an equal basis was secured for the first time.

President Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that politicians in neighboring Moldova, and not only from there, question the need for a Russian warrior Pridnestrovie. They are trying to replace the peacekeeping format of the Russian Federation with some incomprehensible mission. Leadership of Pridnestrovie is not against the political dialogue, but before it starts, one simple question must be answered: who is guilty of aggression against Pridnestrovie, who is guilty of the deaths of our people, children, women, old people?

The deputy of the Supreme Council, co-chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov, recalling the events of 1992, emphasized that after the nationalists of Moldova launched bloody war, the entire international community regarded these events as outside observers. Only Russia constantly took part in settling the conflict.

The congratulatory address from the Supreme Council states that it is impossible to overestimate the significance of the peacekeeping operation in the life of our people. With the introduction of peacekeepers in the zone of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian conflict, the bloodshed on the banks of the Dniester was stopped, and the young republic had the opportunity to deal with state-building and continue its path of peaceful development.
