The life of Bendery in documents and persons can be seen in the Museum of History. Many exhibits have been preserved here in a single copy. A document has survived to this day, which for the first time mentions the first settlements located on the territory of present-day Bendery. Then the city had a different name.
Deputies of the PMR Supreme Council spoke about how the city is changing and transforming today.
The museum has showcases that keep the memory of the Russian-Turkish wars and how the Bendery fortress, known to all Pridnestrovians, was built.
That time, Bendery fortress consisted of three parts: the citadel, the upper and lower parts. Provisions, ammunition and weapons were kept in the basements of the fortress. The house of the Turkish pasha was in the most protected place, but unfortunately, after the storming of the fortress, nothing remained of the house. Today Bendery Fortress is a tourist pearl of Pridnestrovie. This is the opinion of the Deputy of the Supreme Council Anton Onufrienko.
One of the halls of the Bendery Museum tells about the history of the city from 1359 to the end of the 19th century. Each of the showcases contains archival documents, photographs, the names of those who left their mark on the history of the city. The coat of arms of Bendery has also been preserved, which was assigned to him in 1826. This coat of arms indicates that Bendery is a city of Russian military glory. In the upper gold field, which personifies the symbol of wealth and valor, there is a two-headed Russian eagle, and in the lower black field there is a peacefully lying lion.
All republican and city programs are being implemented in Bendery, the parliamentarian noted. They are important not only for the preservation of historical sites, but also for making schools, kindergartens and hospitals more comfortable.
Ruslan Gareev, the PMR Supreme Council Deputy, talks about how Bendery are being transformed.
At the moment, the museum has an exhibition entitled "The World of Glass and Ceramics". They dedicated it to the birthday of Bendery. The exhibition features earthenware, porcelain, ceramic and other dishes. The presented exhibits, and these are jugs, plates, glasses, tea sets, reflect the life of Bendery residents of past years.
This day, deputies of the PMR Supreme Council congratulated all residents of Bender on the 612th anniversary.
