26 years in a row on June 19 our whole republic mourns. Grieves for those killed in Bendery, who defended the city with more than 600 years of history. So this year, according to the established tradition, the residents of the city, the leadership of the republic, began to flock to the square with the symbolic name of Liberation from early morning. Large column was formed there in which they “walked” and portraits of those who died, defending Bendery. A wave of people rolled through the streets of the city of military glory, to stop at the holy place for every residents of Bendery - Memorial of Memory and Grief.

The atmosphere and the mournful faces of the participants in the mourning meeting spoke here about everything, no pathetic words were needed here. The metronome counts down the moments of silence for the victims of nationalist aggression. During the battle for Bendery 489 people died, of which 132 civilians, five children. 1242 people were injured, 40 people missing.

Baskets with scarlet carnations from the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Government Alexander Martynov as a sign of gratitude for the feat - the fallen defenders, the dead citizens and the liberator general Alexander Lebed.

A few years before the armed conflict and the attempt of Moldova to destroy Dubasari and Bendery, the resistance to the way of thinking and life imposed on us by official Chisinau centered around the women's strike movement. Angered by the arrest of our deputies, Pridnestrovian women blocked the railway. At the memorial sign “To women - defenders of PRidnestrovian Moldavian Republic”, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Government Alexander Martynov talked with the participants of the blockade of the “piece of iron”, laid flowers at the memorable sign.

The parliamentarians consider that nothing stands still, everything changes. And we must do everything so that these changes are for the good of our republic, then, God willing, and the threat that constantly hangs over us can be lifted.
