To restore social justice

In accordance with the current legislation, citizens who have state awards for outstanding achievements and special merits receive a supplement to the pension. This right is enjoyed by those pensioners who receive Pridnestrovian pension and permanently reside in the republic. The addresses of the people's representatives have been repeatedly addressed by citizens who receive a pension in a foreign country and who live in our republic for a lengthy registration. These citizens, having state awards, do not receive such surcharges.

Vice Speaker Galina Antyufeeva believes that it is necessary to restore social justice.

It is proposed to provide this category of citizens with this payment. Amendments are made to the law "On Additional Material Support for Pridnestrovian Citizens". It was noted in the course of the meeting that additional financial costs would not be required.

The Supreme Council supported this law-in-draft in the first reading.
