The Pridnestrovian International Investment Economic Forum is being held in the republic for the seventh time. Since 2016, the event has become an annual event and is held under the patronage of the PMR Government. This year, the SPIEF brought together representatives of Pridnestrovie, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Austria, Israel, France, Germany, Italy, the United States – totally from 22 countries.
The purpose of this forum was outlined in the opening speech by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky: to show what Pridnestrovie is, to talk about its economic potential. He emphasized that Pridnestrovie is an unrecognized state, and there are a lot of myths and distorted information about our republic beyond its borders.
Pridnestrovie is an export-oriented state. The country conducts foreign economic activity with 90 countries of the world. Our republic forms its budget based on exports, therefore it is interested in investment.
Each economic forum is a step forward, this is development of Pridnestrovie, this is a new look into the future. Pridnestrovie has something to share, there are many projects that need to be implemented in order for the economy to work efficiently.
The second day of the forum will be fully devoted to the development of the tourism industry of Pridnestrovie. Discussions on this topic are planned at the forum sites.
Today, the forum participants also discussed issues of economic partnership between East and West, the impact of economic processes on the labor market, innovative development of the state and youth potential.
