Artem Turov, “This memory is sacred, and we will do our best to preserve it”

29.11.2020

A representative delegation of the State Duma and the Federation Council of Russia arrived in Pridnestrovie the day before. It included deputies Artyom Turov and Sergei Chizhov, who represent the interests of Pridnestrovians in the Russian parliament. Yesterday Russian parliamentarians visited the Central Election Commission, where they were introduced to the electoral process of our republic.

Despite the fact that there are public reception offices in Pridnestrovie, and anyone can turn there with their question or request, Russian deputies use every opportunity to communicate with compatriots live, see what is happening in the republic, and provide the necessary assistance on the spot.

The day for the Russian delegation began with visit to the Memorial of Glory. Guests from Russia laid flowers at the graves of the heroes who gave their lives defending their native land over the years.

The grandfather of the Russian parliamentarian fought in the 2nd Ukrainian Front, took part in the Jassy-Kishinev operation, was a direct participant in the events of 1944 and the liberation of the Moldavian SSR.

State Duma deputy Sergei Chizhov also shared his feelings after visiting the Glory Memorial.

Sergei Chizhov focused on the important role of the Russian peacekeeping mission on the banks of the Dniester.

The Deputy of the State Duma of Russia drew attention to the fact that this day is especially symbolic - November 29 is Mother's Day. Sergey Chizhov addressed with words of gratitude to all women who took upon themselves the great mission of becoming mother.
