Plenum of the Arbitration Court was held. In its course, the results of the work of the highest judicial instance considering economic disputes were summed up with the participation of the leadership of the republic – the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Kasap. 11 of 14 judges of the stuff considered it, the burden on each of them last year amounted to 132 cases.
The results of the court’s work in the report were summarized by the Chairman Alexander Kiyko. 879 lawsuits were submitted to the Arbitration Court in 2018, 725 of which were considered and adjudicated. A characteristic feature for last year was an increase in the number of cases on the liquidation of enterprises.
A large reservoir of the work of the economic court - statements by the tax inspectorates (last year there were 185 totaling 72.8 million rubles). Despite the fact that according to 65 lawsuits, the decision of the economic court was not in favor of the fiscal authorities, the head of the court Alexander Kiyko, acknowledged that in comparison with 2017, the tax authorities began to more carefully prepare documents for consideration by the court. In this regard, expressed during the meeting of the Plenum of the Arbitration Court the need to improve the tax legislation opinion was general.
Earlier in this connection the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, commenting on the topic of implementing the provisions of the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy 2019-2026 for journalists, noted that the promising plans for the legislative activities of the deputies were the adoption of the Tax Code.
Last year, the staff of the Arbitration Court paid particular attention to the observance of the statutory deadlines for the consideration of lawsuits - no violations were recorded in this part.
Having ascertained the fact that the judicial system is an important component of any state, Chairman of the Arbitration Court Alexander Kiyko informed about the participation of his representatives in the work on improving the current legislation. The specialists, in particular, give opinions on legislative initiatives submitted for consideration by the Supreme Council.
The President Vadim Krasnoselsky stated that last year there had been no appeals addressed to the Presidential Administration related to the unjustified decisions of the Arbitration Court.
Addressing the staff of the Arbitration Court, the President recalled that in their work they should be guided by the fundamental rules of law and the presumption of innocence.
