The reporting session of the Plenum of the Arbitration Court took place in the capital, where its chairman, Alexander Kiyko, summed up the results of the work of the judicial body over the past year. The President of the Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, representatives of the government, heads of the prosecutor's office, courts took part in the discussion of topical issues of arbitration practice.
As noted by Alexander Kiyko, over the past year, the Arbitration Court received 1013 lawsuits. Compared to 2016, this indicator decreased by 36%. In 853 cases, court decisions were passed. The number of refusals in accepting lawsuits significantly decreased. The chairman of the court paid special attention to the results of the consideration of land disputes.
The President Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the judges of the Arbitration Court for the effective work of the court as a whole and, in particular, on the resolution of land disputes. The President instructed to understand this issue at the beginning of last year.
An expert assessment of the activities of the judicial authority was given by the republic's prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky.
Speaker Alexander Shcherba spoke about the constructive interaction of the legislative and judicial bodies.
