Workers in the agriculture and processing industry of Pridnestrovie celebrated their professional holiday on the 21st of November. Congratulations and words of gratitude for their work were addressed to them by the leadership of the Supreme Council.
Thanks to the workers of the specialized industry, the republic produces essential products. Farmers and processors work day and night supplying bread, milk and meat, fruits and vegetables. Farmers have been able to grow a good harvest despite the weather conditions in recent years, emphasized the Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeyeva. The state provides support to the agricultural and processing industries.
The Supreme Council supported Vadim Krasnoselsky's initiative to amend the law on this year's republican budget on November 10. An additional 2 million rubles were allocated for subsidies to agricultural enterprises and peasant farms for milk production. Such a program has been operating in the republic for several years to ensure food security. The amount for subsidies in case of an increase in milk production has been increased in the budget 2021.
2 million 300 thousand rubles were allocated additionally for concessional lending to farmers. Agricultural producers can take the necessary equipment at a small percentage. The deputies of the Supreme Council see the result of such support in the modernization of production and the creation of jobs.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, 26 organizations participated in the program of "dairy" subsidies in 2018, and already 41 in 2021. The state paid almost 11 million rubles to producers for 9 months of this year. Subsidies for the purchase of breeding heifers (dairy cattle) amounted to 2 million rubles. The support provided by the state helps to improve the fodder base, to buy equipment for milking and storing milk.
Deputies of the Supreme Council adopted the state program for the development of the reclamation complex and the law “On reclamation” last year. This makes it possible to pledge and allocate certain amounts of budgetary funds for specific work on the development of the reclamation complex - the repair of pumping stations, the purchase of equipment. Increasing irrigated areas is one of the priority tasks of the state to ensure the food security of the republic. The plans are to increase the percentage of vegetable and fodder legumes crops, which is possible only with the development of land reclamation, the relevant ministry notes. By the end of 2022, it is planned to expand the area of irrigated land to 30 thousand hectares.
