Anton Onufrienko, "Banally stole in not-banally sizes"

28.06.2017

January 25, 2017, the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal investigation into the creation of an organized criminal group, which for a long time, at the state level, was engaged in smuggling. As it was noted in the submission to the Supreme Council on the deprivation of the former head of state Yevgeny Shevchuk immunity the Prosecutor of PMR Anatoly Guretsky, it included civil servants - the former Chairman of the State Customs Committee Gennady Kuzmichev and his subordinates. The organized criminal group operated under the patronage of the former head of state for a long time - from 2012 to March 2016. Evidences are in customs declarations, invoices, and testimonies. The proceeds from smuggling were estimated at millions of dollars.

The sad statistics were brought in the speech by the deputy of the Supreme Council Viktor Guzun.

In the framework of the plenary session, specific examples were given when Zlatogor, according to documents, imported oil meal into the republic, but in fact alcohol. Such a deception was not tolerated by the Ukrainian side and banned the import of excisable goods through the Pridnestrovian customs checkpoints. As a result, our businessmen today import the same tobacco from Moldova, which, in turn, imported it to its customs territory. Hence the high cost of cigarettes, and payments from the supply of this type of goods to the Moldovan budget. The current joint Ukrainian-Moldavian posts in Kuchurgan are also echoes of that contraband. Here is such a bear service.

The deputy of the Supreme Council, Sergei Khankevich, in 2012-2013, headed the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. His subordinates were engaged in these matters. The Minister of the Interior of that time reported on numerous facts of smuggling to the president. The result of the report was the dismissal of all those employees and the seizure of all materials by the President's Security Service. When the Interior Ministry was headed by one of the main figurants of contraband cases Gennady Kuzmichev, their fate in general was covered with a veil of secrecy. The peculiar result of the discussion of this view of the republican prosecutor was the speech of the parliamentarian Anton Onufrienko.
