Anti-crisis law to support enterprises and businesses in the new conditions adopted in the first reading

18.05.2022

Deputies of the Supreme Council today in the first reading adopted a new law on measures of state support for economic agents in connection with the negative consequences of external factors. It was developed by a group of parliamentarians on the basis of proposals and requests from enterprises and business representatives.

Parliamentarians and the Government worked in parallel to develop a set of support measures. They jointly discussed all issues and problems with representatives of enterprises, businesses, communities of entrepreneurs. The president of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie Yuri Cheban spoke in the course of the plenary session about the team work of representatives of the executive, legislative branches of government and business in this direction. As a result, two legislative initiatives were submitted to today's plenary session of the Supreme Council, which proposed similar measures to provide state assistance to enterprises and individual entrepreneurs. The government package of measures was presented by the Minister of Economic Development of the PMR Sergey Obolonik.

Parliamentarians voted as a basis for the law-in-draft developed by a group of deputies. The document includes tax incentives, financial measures to stimulate activity, support for small and medium-sized businesses in the field of customs policy, and easing in relation to administrative responsibility. Detailed and visual information about the measures of state support is in the telegram channel of the Supreme Council.

The Head of the relevant parliamentary Committee thanked the members of the Government, the Minister of Economic Development and the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie for organized joint work to develop proposals and support measures. Victor Guzun noted: a single consolidated position of all branches of government and business can give a good result in the current difficult conditions.

The retroactive effect of some measures will also be studied as part of the second reading, in addition to the amendments, which will contain support measures from the government law-in-draft. This means that they will begin to operate from the moment external factors arise that affect the work of economic agents of Pridnestrovie.
