Andrei Safonov, "This law is awaited by the defenders of the republic"

Deputies of the Supreme Council Andrei Safonov and Vadim Kravchuk acted as authors of the law-in-draft on amending the law "On the Social Protection of War Veterans". This is their response to the appeal of the Presidium of the Union of Defenders of Pridnestrovie of Rybnitsa and Rybnitsa district. The essence of the law-in-draft is to provide participants of military actions to protect the PridnestrovianMoldavian Republic in 1992 to go free to the place of examination, planned treatment and rehabilitation. It means the Republican hospital for war invalids, located in the capital of the republic.

At today's planar meeting, deputy Andrei Safonov noted that "this law is awaited by the defenders of the republic, especially those who live in Kamenka, Rybnitsa, Dubossary and Grigoriopol districts. Our task is to alleviate the fate of those who shed blood for their homeland in 1992".

The law-in-draft was adopted by the deputies in the first reading. If it is adopted in final form and signed by the President in the budget for these purposes, it will be necessary to annually seek funds in the amount of 55 thousand rubles. Several hundreds of defenders of the PMR are in need of getting to the place of treatment.
