The Amnesty for Personal Property Tax

The Supreme Council initiated and adopted amendments to the law "On the Republican Budget 2018". The corresponding law was signed by the president and came into force. The parliamentary press service asked Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva to comment on the essence and importance of the adopted changes to the law.

Pridnestrovians in their appeals complained about the fact that the deputy explained that the property was not used or is not used for entrepreneurial purposes, however, it is subject to an increased rate.

Deputies carefully examined all citizens' appeals. After consultations with the President and the Government, the Supreme Council initiated and adopted amendments to the PMR Law "On the Republican Budget 2018" aimed at resolving the acute problem. Thus, on the initiative of the Committee of the Supreme Council on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance, the current article of the law is supplemented with the following content:

As explained by the vice-speaker, the new law provides that, subject to payment of the existing property tax debt of individuals in the amount of 20 percent of the accrued sums in full for these real estate objects, until December 31, 2018, the debt is deemed canceled in full. In the case of payment of the tax on the property of individuals in full, the tax authorities shall offset the tax amounts paid, and the court's decision to recover the arrears in the tax on the property of individuals is considered fulfilled.

The President signed the amendments adopted by the Supreme Council on July 26 (Legislation 18-30).
