Prominent Russian and foreign public and political figures, scientists, writers, cultural figures, diplomats, legislators and journalists attended the conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of “The Russky Mir” Foundation. They represented 80 countries. The President of Russia and the first persons of the state congratulated “The Russky Mir” Foundation on its anniversary. Putin's greeting from the stage was read by the deputy head of the Presidential Administration Magomedsalam Magomedov. Valentina Pereverzeva, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, conveyed greetings from the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

The President of the Russian Academy of Education Lyudmila Verbitskaya, who heads the board of trustees of “The Russky Mir” Foundation, speaking at the conference, called his creation a historic event.
