Alexander Shcherba, "There is no populism in the activities of the Supreme Council"

Vice-Speaker Alexander Shcherbaand chairman of the Education Committee of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla received delegation of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, headed by the deputy director of the RISS, head of the Research Center on problems of the countries of the near abroad Tamara Guzenkova. The meeting was also attended by leading researcher RISI Oleg Nemensky, senior researcher Evgeny Biryukov, as well as the head of the research programs Dniester and Prut information-analytical center Gregory Menyailo.

According to Tamara Guzenkova, the visit of the Russian delegation is exploratory in nature. RISS staff intend to examine the inside of the situation on the eve of presidential elections in Pridnestrovie.

Despite an official nature, the meeting was held in the format of a live dialogue. The RISS specialists - are frequent guests in the parliament, however, as noted by Alexander Shcherba, they meet both old friends of the Supreme Council, and all Pridnestrovie. The opinion of legislators about the future prospects of development of the republic is of particular interest to the RISS specialists.

Russian guests noted interest of Pridnestrovian parliamentarians who are always willing to cooperate with the Centre. Scientists hope that such cooperation will contribute to the production of objective information.
