"Pridnestrovie is the unique newest state in Europe. We have our own way", - Alexander Shcherba, Chairman of the Supreme Council, told the European parliamentarians. In the French capital, the Parliament Speaker and Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev took part in the session of the special subcommittee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on conflicts, where the Moldovan- Pridnestrovian settlement issues were discussed. The position of Pridnestrovie on this international platform, was presented for the first time. According to Alexander Scherba, the discussion that took place on the PACE site allowed the European parliamentarians to look at Pridnestrovie from a different angle.
As noted in the speech before the European parliamentarians, the speaker of the parliament, Pridnestrovie for 27 years takes a consistent position and respects the agreements at all stages of the negotiation process.
In the course of the discussion, questions of an applied nature were raised, in the solution of which the inhabitants of our republic are interested. They concerned the use of Pridnestrovian license plates and the movement of vehicles on the roads of Europe, the confirmation of documents on education. According to Alexander Shcherba, during the dialogue a positive start was laid in the solution of urgent for the Pridnestrovians problems.
As for the position of the Republic of Moldova, on the PACE site it was represented by various political forces.
During the visit to Paris, representatives of the Pridnestrovian delegation held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco Alexei Meshkov. The sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues related to the strengthening of the Pridnestrovian-Russian interaction at all levels and in various spheres.
