The conference of the International Assembly of capitals and major cities was held on the eve of the 225th anniversary of the formation of Tiraspol. The organization unites about one hundred cities from 9 CIS countries. Members of the IAH, the CIS Executive Committee, deputies of the State Duma of Russia, leaders and businessmen from major cities of Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus arrived in the Pridnestrovian capital. The theme of the three-day forum is "Partnership between government and business - the basis of municipal social policy".
The participants of the conference were welcomed by President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The head of state noted that our republic is interested in strengthening international cooperation.
Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba emphasized that the capital meets participants of the conference not as guests, but as comrades and like-minded people. Alexander Shcherba added that our republic is open for cooperation with the International Assembly of capitals and big cities.
During the conference, much attention was paid to the interaction of government and business. The fact that Tiraspol - a socially-oriented city was spoken by the deputy of the Supreme Council Ilona Tyuryayeva, who presented one of the largest companies in Pridnestrovie "Sheriff" at the conference. She spoke about the achievements of the holding, its contribution to the development of the state.
Russian guests shared their experience in attracting investments in the development and improvement of cities. At the end of the plenary meeting, Russian guests Vadim Krasnoselsky and Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba received awards from the Russian Union of Veterans.
