Alexander Shcherba, "The main criterion for the work of the authorities is how much better each Pridnestrovian began to live"

Deputies of the Supreme Council from Slobodzeia district, led by Speaker Alexander Shcherba, took part in the session of the city council. The main issues on the agenda were the report of the head of the representative authority of the district Vasily Chernobay and the adoption of the budget of this administrative-territorial unit for this year.

Slobodzeia district is an agrarian region. Therefore last year local deputies paid special attention to the development of the agro-industrial complex, rational use of land. By the way, here we started to inventory the agricultural land. And in this the deputies were supported by the state administration.

Last year, the district treasury managed to collect 96.5 million rubles, which is 104% of the planned income. Expenses in this case amounted to 170.2 million rubles.

The report of the chairman of the Council of People's Deputies of Slobodzeya district and Slobodzeya Vasily Chernobay complemented the speeches of the heads of the permanent deputy commissions.

The outcome of the discussion was summed up by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba.

Addressing colleagues from the local city council, Alexander Shcherba urged them to get involved more actively in discussions on reforming such important social sectors as education and health.

Alexander Shcherba informed the participants of the session about the preparatory work to change the current legislation with regard to local authorities and self-government, the functioning of the housing and communal services sector. According to the speaker, the housing and communal sphere should become the subject of constant and close attention of all authorities, since for our voters its work remains the most problematic.

The participants of the session unanimously voted for the adoption of the district budget for this year. At the preliminary stage, his project was discussed in all standing deputy commissions, at a meeting of the presidium of the city council, public hearings were held. The own revenues of the district is provided only by 52%. Therefore, here they hope for transfers from the republican budget for the implementation of socially protected articles, as well as from the Road Fund.
